The Columbia River STEM Network was formed to provide opportunities tailored for students in the communities of Cowlitz and Wahkiakum county regions.

Columbia River STEM Network

Partnerships between businesses and schools in Cowlitz County have always been strong. In 2017, as the regional network began to grow, more and more businesses expressed an interest in partnering with schools to make work-related learning a regional priority.

The industry sectors that are in growth in the Cowlitz and Wahkiakum county regions are unique, and the Columbia River STEM Network was formed to provide opportunities tailored for students in these specific communities. The Cowlitz Business Education Connection promotes relationships between business and education, provides scholarships for local students and works to strengthen the future pipeline of workers in Cowlitz County.
